The Campfire Companions board gathered at Dangar Island, hosted by Judi and Paul, on the weekend of 17 – 18 of January 2025. It was wonderful to get together in person to consider all aspects of Campfire as a special place of retreat and reflection, that is nestled in the East MacDonnell Ranges.

Stories, dreams and practicalities were shared. Even though the sound of the wind and water of the island of the Guringai and Dharuk nations was close by, thoughts of the lands and people of central Australia were in our discussions, including the Arrernte people and all who gather there.

The question on our minds was and is, how can we best serve through Campfire in the Heart.
