Campfire in the Heart is a restful location on Arrernte land along the East MacDonnell Ranges, just seven kilometres from the centre of Alice Springs. Whether you’re looking for a break from the hustle and bustle or a peaceful escape, our simple bush setting provides the ideal environment for relaxation.
Facilities
Campfire in the Heart offers a peaceful location for seminars and retreats, as well as cabins overlooking the East Macdonnell Ranges for individual, self-led solitude.
What’s On
Join our free weekly meditation and gatherings around the campfire! We have a range of regular events, as well as an evolving calendar of extended retreats to inspire and rejuvenate the spirit.
I pick up a rock. I walk to the water’s edge. let go of identifying myself as a cancer survivor. That phase of my life is over. I am no more a cancer survivor than I am a survivor of adolescence, of birthing, of working, of retirement, of life itself. It came. It went. It was a gift. I throw the rock far out into the waves, pick up my pack, and start for home.
